Drawing on Poetry
Session 1: 11.00am -12.30pm
Session 2: 2.30 - 4.00pm
All ages are welcome to join artist Gillian Cussen in the gallery at 11am; enjoy using charcoal, pencils and pastels to make your own poetry-inspired art works.
At 2.30pm, adults can try out a wide variety of drawing materials; graphite, charcoal and pastels, to make visual responses to poetry.
No experience is required, all materials supplied, and all are welcome.

Whether you are an absolute beginner or a seasoned sketcher, join figurative-artist, Helle Helsner, in the Sculpture Gallery to celebrate Drawing Day. Take inspiration from the wonderful selection of figurative casts that hail from the Vatican collection. Follow in the footsteps of students who have used the sculptures to hone their skills since 1818.
